Cycle From USA To Taiping

This guy took the long way home. He cycled from USA to Taiping for charity. The journey of 28,751km took him 293 days to complete over 20 countries, 3 continents, several mountains, rivers and deserts.
Talk about heroes, we have one in our own backyard in Taiping. Let us hope his feat will inspire our young generation to strive for higher goals. During those good old days, cycling from Taiping to Penang was such a monumental task. Now even the USA is within cycling distance. The world is not such a "big" place after all.
Such determination, dedication and contribution on his part for charity deserve all the support we can give.

Meet him in Kuala Lumpur on the official National launching of OGA-Longwayhome CharityRide at 1 Utama Shopping Center at 2.00 - 4.00 pm on 6th April, 2008.

Dato's Liow Tiong Lai (Minister of Health formerly Deputy Minister of Sports & Youth) will be officiating the launching on the 6th April, 2008 at about 2.00 pm.
